The MultiCarrier
The Wincher
The Wincher for the Patriot encompasses four main pieces: The bumper, the skid plate,
and two mounting brackets. The bumper is formed from 3/16" and utilizes 1/4" plates to
that bolt to the mounting brackets. It is capable of housing a winch, a receiver hitch, tow
points, and recessed lighting. An optional brush guard will provide additional protection
from flora and fauna.
The skid plate not only serves to protect the area from the bottom of the bumper down
to the radiator core support but also provides a point to anchor the inner fender liners
and wraps down the side to protect the delicate A/C and wiring/computer components
that the manufacturer saw fit to house in the wheel wells. Like the bumper it is cut from
3/16" steel. As a dress up option, the skid plate can be ordered from stainless, or from
aluminum to save weight.
The asymmetrical mounting brackets serve to bridge the gap from the factory unibody
to the bumper. They utilize not only the factory impact bar mounting points, but allow
the use of two additional 12mm bolts per side to provide the strength necessary to pull
from the bumper.
